To the Developers, Tech. Staff and all interested,
Hey all player seabeast here,
Just wanted to drop dime on those who got GW on the Market to this point. First, I have never written about a game before as I have yet found any worth spending the time, until now. I am not one of those political fans of PC games, not one of those super hard core gamers or even computer Guru. I am a retired military person who has come to enjoy many games since 1993 and have played all the latest and greatest (your hard earn tax dollars at work). The closest I come to a professional gamer has been a beta tester in a couple of games. I will attempt to make this short.
Allow me to put it in terms that my fellow elder players will understand, I am really digging this game man. I purchased the game the first day and held on to it for a while thinking it appeared a little “cartoonish”. Finally my foster kid insisted I put it in my PC and so I did. What I have found it not only impressive but, a great change from the hyped mmorpg and other styles of games.
I will not go into the depth of the game itself as all the kiddies have done so and to put in my opinion will only confuse my point. WHATS YOUR POINT SEABEAST.
The lack of grind; I do believe in earning a way to becoming a well known player who is honorable and knows the mechanics of what is being played. This game has that opportunity and makes it refreshing in doing so. Refreshing not to have a fight over loot yet, not get the best items until you have earned them. Developers “Bravo Zulu.”
The great cut scenes; Excellent reward for a mission and one that I have come to insist upon. Since I have no Ego (been married…Twice) this game continues to drive me to the next scene. To be honest, I am not a big RPG kind of person but, this game makes it worth while. Develoers “Bravo Zulu.”
Grafics; Impressive, and even more impressive is that it runs on my old low end PC (now belongs to the kids). I actually stopped and looked over the cliff to find some very nice scenery. My wife, who does not play games, has commented on this. Developers “Bravo Zulu.”
The challenge; Arguably so, this is the best area of the game. A good combination of strategy, selection and game play is required if your into getting the job done. Developers “Bravo Zulu.”
Sound; Personal preference on this one. I really dig the sound effects of the game action. Music is almost perfect, not too much, not completely gone.
Overall, This is the game that I have been looking for, new idea’s, refreshing concepts and a combination of PvP, single player and dare I say it? Mmorpg. All politics and marketing propaganda aside, I just wanted to let those who put this game together know that this family is really enjoying the product. How much so? Sold my two-year Eve account, closed my EQII account and shut down AO today. This is not one of those posts that tell you how the game is, this is one of those posts to tell the muki-mukies that I really like what I bought. If you do not agree with my views, coo, you can come take it out on me PvP style. I can’t seem to win many PvP but, I am having a ball losing. The game is great, the community is fair and game style is refreshing. To all those who have gotten the game to this point “Bravo Zulu.”
